The Thing in the Labyrinth horror book club with Kathryn E. McGee
This horror book club meets after hours in the center of our labyrinth, warmed only by the flickering flames of a janky chandelier we found at St. Vincent's. Bad things happen almost never.
In February, we are reading Gwendolyn Kiste's The Rust Maidens. This dark story captures the monstrous transformation of 5 young women in America's desolate "rust belt" - is it just desserts for refusing to let go of our old, destructive ways?
HOW IT WORKS:
All book clubs require a ticket, and include the book, snacks/bevs, and a dedicated moderator - to keep the discussion on track! All clubs meet at The Last Bookstore.
You can get your ticket (we'll ship the book to you!) at the link on this page - OR just come in to the store and look for our book club display (near the book tunnel).
If you choose the on-line option (the one with shipping), please send a mailing addy to larkin.lastbookstore@gmail.com
And hey - if you're worried about being downtown at the witching hours of the night - please know that the club all leaves together. If you'd like an escort to where you parked after the meeting, it's no problem at all - just let us know.
