The Narcissist Next Door.

Sebastian is rich (heir to a fish-stick fortune), handsome, gay and unattached. Although independently wealthy, he would really like to establish himself as a professional photographer. His best friend Kate is straight, single, and would like to get her play produced. Meanwhile, she works temp jobs.

            Enter Sebastian’s new neighbor Tony. He introduces them to a Peruvian self-help discipline called The Source. Suddenly, Sebastian lands a gig shooting photos of Charo Vergara (Sophia’s hotter sister). Kate lands a new boyfriend, Robert (“He was raised Catholic. He has a job. My mom’s going to love him.”).

            There’s just one thing: Tony is one of the most self-absorbed human beings on Earth, an insufferable narcissist who will eventually drive anyone in his orbit bonkers.

            Sebastian arranges to go to his photo shoot in Mexico with Kate and Robert. Tony invites himself along. Once there, they are captured by kidnapers who tie them up and threaten their lives.

            Can the quartet escape the kidnapers alive? Will Sebastian, Kate and Robert ever escape Tony?

            The cast includes Luca Malacrino, Michael Nardelli, Kincaid Walker, Réchard François, Dawn Joyal, Maggie Miguel, Bryce Harrow and Robert Harrow.

ALO YOGA AND GURMUKH HOST PHILANTHROPIC KUNDALINI EVENT | Raising Funds For Food, Education And Developed Facilities For Tibetan Orphanage

WHO + WHAT: Los Angeles-based premium activewear label Alo Yoga, today announced that it will host a yoga event with world-renowned Kundalini teacher, Gurmukh where 100% of ticket donations will benefit the Tibetan Manjushree Orphanage in Tawang, India.

 

WHEN: Thursday, May 23rd at 6 p.m.

 

WHERE: Alo Yoga Studio | 189 The Grove Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90036

 

WHY: Alo Yoga is hosting this event to support its overall mission to bring mindful movement and yoga to the world. This event will benefit the Manjushree Orphanage, which was established in 1998 to provide 30 Tibetan children a safe home, family, modern education and sound moral values.

 

Today, Manjushree Orphanage has grown to serve more than 300 children and staff and is in dire need of expanding its space, especially its kitchen that was originally built to serve 30. Additionally, it only receives about 41 cents per day per child for everything – food, shelter, school, love and guidance. This event and cause coextends with Alo Yoga’s 501(c) (3) foundation Alo Gives, which was started in partnership with Scholastic, to further its mission to bring yoga to children on a global level by providing free, 5-minute videos on AloGives.com that offer the benefits of yoga and meditation to tomorrow’s leaders.

Demetri Martin - Wandering Mind Tour
Demetri Martin rose to relative obscurity when he started doing stand-up comedy in New York City at the end of the 20th Century. Later he became a writer at Late Night with Conan O’Brien and then a regular performer on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. In 2003, Demetri won the Perrier Award at the International Fringe Festival for his first one-man show, If I. He released a comedy album called These Are Jokes and then created and starred in his own television series called Important Things with Demetri Martin. His first stand-up comedy special, Demetri Martin. Person is considered by many to be his longest and only hour-long stand-up comedy special. Martin has appeared in movies as an actor, most recently in Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion and most lengthily in Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock. His first book, This Is a Book by Demetri Martin is a New York Times Bestseller. Demetri has brown hair, and he is allergic to peanuts. The comedians and podcasters rose to prominence when the former Bronx schoolmates reconnected on Twitter. As they were building their own followings, the two shared an affinity for complaining about their dissatisfaction for their jobs, coupled with pointed and funny pop culture commentary. The re-connection of the quick-witted duo led to stints on Complex (Desus Vs. Mero) and MTV (Joking Off), their current podcast The Bodega Boys, and a daily critically-acclaimed late-night show on Viceland—all while continuing to amass an enthusiastic following for their smart and comedic off-the-cuff musings on life’s greatest topics.
